The football season came to end in Thief River Falls for the Fergus Falls Otters on Tuesday night.  The Prowlers handed the Otters a 33-14 loss and will now move on to face top-seeded Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton on Saturday afternoon at 2:00pm.  The Otters end their season with a final record of 2-7.

Fergus Falls scored the first TD of the night when Griffin Babolian raced 23 yards.  Jaydon Manteufel added the extra point kick for a 7-0 Otter lead after one quarter.

The Prowlers scored three second quarter touchdowns, taking a 20-7 lead.  Caleb Rosendahl hit Jake Friedrich with a 16 yard TD pass and Brayden Spears booted the extra point.  Griffin Lundeen then scored on a one yard run and Spears added the PAT kick.  The final TD of the second quarter came on a 4 yard pass from Caleb Rosendahl to Jack Rosendahl.

Caleb Rosendahl connected with Carter Engebretson on a 25 yard scoring pass in the third quarter and the two-point try was unsuccessful, leaving the score at 26-7 after three quarters.

The Prowlers made it 33-7 with a fourth quarter touchdown run of 6 yards by Friedrich and a Spears extra point kick.  Fergus Falls closed out the scoring with a 3 yard run by Babolian and a Manteufel kick.

Babolian ended the game with 177 rushing yards on 24 carries.  The Otters had 222 yards of total offense with 217 coming on the ground.

Friedrich led the Prowlers with 132 yards on 15 rushing attempts and Lundeen had 81 yards on 19 carries.  TRF finished with 351 rushing yards and 439 yards of total offense.

"I like the way we started the game," said Fergus Falls Head Coach Steve Olson.  "It's what we've been looking for the last few weeks.  We just couldn't maintain the momentum.  Thief River found some spots in our pass coverage that they were able to exploit.  I'd like to thank the seniors for all of their contributions to the program."
