Bjorn Anderson (16:24.1) and Micah Thompson (16:49.9) finished 1-2 at the Heart O’ Lakes Conference boys’ cross country race in Hawley, leading the Perham Yellowjackets to a conference title with a score of 22.  Hawley was runner-up with 72 and Lake Park-Audubon finished third with 88 points.  The Yellowjackets claimed their 20th HOL title in the last 21 years, and for Anderson it was his first individual title.

“Bjorn posted a time of 15:37 at the Perham Invite last week, just missing Keeghan Hurley’s course record, so he has been getting better with each race,” commented Perham Head Coach Jeff Morris.  “Micah Thompson also posted an all-time PR at this race and we had six runners earn All-Conference honors.  We ended up sweeping all 6 team titles at the HOL Meet.”
