Perham Girls Win 19th Consecutive HOL CC Title with Perfect Score
The Perham girls’ cross country team captured the Heart O’ Lakes Conference championship once again when they posted a perfect score of 15, placing their top five runners 1-5 and easily outdistancing second place Hawley (61). Breckenridge/Wahpeton was third with 65 points. Gracie Morris of the Yellowjackets was the overall champion with a time of 19:33.9.
“The girls’ team won its 19th straight conference title on the heels of running the fastest team average in school history at the Perham Invite,” noted Perham Head Coach Jeff Morris. “Gracie Morris posted a time that ranks second fastest individually in school history, which continued into the HOL Conference meet where she won her second consecutive individual title. Four Perham girls broke 20 minutes on the Hawley course, the most challenging course we run all season, with the last two miles over very hilly sections. Our entire top 7 earned All-Conference honors.”
