Pequot Lakes started the night with a 9 play, 80 yard scoring drive that wound up in the end zone on a 17 yard pass from Grant Loge to Riley LarsonTommy Blomer’s extra-point kick put the Patriots on top 7-0 with 8:52 left in the first quarter.

Perham cashed in a 7 play, 62 yard scoring drive with a 34 yard TD pass from Blaiz Schmidt to Evan Kovash just 44 seconds into the second quarter.  After the PAT try by Hudson Hackel was blocked, Pequot Lakes held a 7-6 edge.  The Yellowjackets scored the go ahead touchdown with 7:13 remaining in the first half on a 16 yard pass to Braylon Rach from Schmidt, taking a 12-7 lead.  With 2:54 on the clock, Pequot Lakes regained the lead when Loge connected with Cullen Kratochvil on a 13 yard TD pass and JP Elsenpeter carried the ball into the end zone for the two-point conversion and a 15-12 Patriots lead heading into halftime.

A Perham fumble on the opening kickoff of the second half setup the Patriots who took advantage of the turnover by scoring on a 4 yard pass to Kratochvil from Loge and a Blomer kick for a 22-12 lead.

Elsenpeter led the Patriots running attack with 197 yards on 27 carries.  Loge completed 16-of-29 passes for 207 yards and 3 scores.  Bryar Nordby (5 receptions, 65 yards), Riggs Magnuson (5 catches, 52 yards) and Kratochvil (4 catches, 51 yards) were the top receivers as Loge hooked up with five different receivers on the night.  Darby Boelter had two interceptions and recovered a fumble for Pequot Lakes.
