Fergus Falls finished the regular season with a 2-6 record after losing to East Grand Forks on Wednesday night, 36-7. The Greenwave scored on a Levi Anderson touchdown run of 54 yards in the first quarter and added the two-point conversion on a run by Cooper Smith to take an early 8-0 lead on the Otters. They added a 10 yard run by Anderson and a PAT kick by Drew Carpenter in the second quarter for a 15-0 halftime lead.
Carpenter hit Smith with a 16 yard aerial in the third quarter and then added the extra-point kick to up the lead to 22-0. Anderson’s third touchdown run of the night, this one from 3 yards out, followed by a Carpenter kick, gave East Grand Forks a 29-0 lead after three quarters.
The Otters finally got on the board with a 9 yard TD run by Griffin Babolian and an extra-point kick by Jaydon Manteufel in the fourth quarter. The Greenwave finished off the scoring with an 8 yard run by Cam Kolstad and another PAT kick from Carpenter to put the final score at 36-7.
East Grand Forks ends the regular season with a record of 4-4.
