The Rothsay Tigers completed their regular season volleyball schedule with a 3-0 (25-11, 25-23, 25-15) victory over Little Eight Conference rival Ashby on Tuesday night.

“Tonight, our goal was to bring a playoff intensity in order to prepare for the beginning of the Section 6A Tournament next week.  For the most part, we accomplished that,” stated Rothsay Head Coach John Reber.  “The only obvious exception was missing seven serves in Set 2, which was obnoxious.  Other than that we played with great purpose and teamwork throughout.”

Reber continued, “Our passers, led by Savannah Sullivan (2.1 passing average, 9 digs), put the ball in the air, Elli Meyer (33 set assists, 10 digs) directed the offense, and our hitters led by Kenadi Carlsrud (19 kills, 1 block, 19/20 serving, 7 aces) put the ball on the deck.  It certainly feels good to get back in the win column after a losing streak.  Now, we’ll use the balance of the week to sharpen up for Monday’s pigtail round playoff game.”
