New York Mills trailed 12-8 at halftime, took a 24-12 lead after three quarters and held on for a 32-18 win over Parkers Prairie on Friday night.  “Really proud of our seniors and the job they have done for us,” commented New York Mills Head Coach Matt Radniecki.  “It was a great senior night win and we look forward to getting after it against Mahnomen-Waubun on Wednesday.”

Jonah Ruther scored the first touchdown of the night on a 27 yard run in the first quarter and Monty Briard’s two-point conversion run gave the Eagles an 8-0 lead after one.

The Panthers built their 12-8 halftime lead on a 37 yard pass and a 97 yard run.

Briard’s 4 yard run and a 2 point conversion run by Brayden Ehnert put Mills back on top, 16-12.  Ehnert then hit Teagan Lausten with a 7 yard scoring toss and connected with Finn Roder on the two-point play to increase the Eagles lead to 24-12.  An Ehnert to Roder 7 yard pass and an Ehnert to Lausten two-point conversion pass concluded the scoring with New York Mills posting a 32-18 win.

Parkers Prairie (2-5) will host Ottertail Central (5-2) on Wednesday night.
