Chase Evink got the scoring started for the Owls when he reached the end zone on a 3 yard run. Titus Bjerketvedt then caught a two point conversion pass from Davin Rose for an 8-0 lead. Sebeka went ahead 12-8 on touchdown passes of 39 and 20 yards.
A 2 yard run by Rose and a two point pass from Rose to Jackson Koehl gave Hancock a 16-12 lead. Koehl then hauled in a 51 yard pass from Rose for a 22-12 advantage. Rose connected with Nathan Kellenberger and hit Koehl with the two-point conversion pass for a 30-12 lead and Rose then hooked up with Bjerketvedt on a 63 yard TD pass before delivering a two-point conversion pass to Koehl which provided the Owls with a commanding 38-12 halftime lead.
A third quarter touchdown pass from Rose to Koehl covered 13 yards and Evink ran in for the conversion points and a 46-12 Hancock lead. Sebeka made it 46-18 on a 33 yard TD run, ending the third quarter with Hancock leading 46-18.
The final score of the game came on a 33 yard run by Winston Schaefer and a two-point conversion run by Schaefer, putting the final score at 54-18, Hancock.
Hancock outgained Sebeka 360 (226 passing, 134 rushing) to 166 (68 passing, 98 rushing) in the game.
For the Owls, Rose completed 8-of-13 passes for 226 yards and 4 scores. Koehl caught 3 passes for 88 yards and 2 TD’s and Bjerketvedt had 2 catches for 75 yards and a touchdown. Evink led the ground attack with 78 yards on 12 carries and Schaefer ran for 58 yards on 4 attempts. Koehl led the defense with an interception, 5 solo tackles and 13 assisted tackles. Hudson VerSteeg, Trent Messner and Ely Rinkenberger each recovered a fumble, Logan Metzger blocked a kick and Ralphy Algarate and Connor Duncan each recorded a sack.
