Parkers Prairie defeated Rothsay 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 26-24) on Tuesday night in a Little Eight Conference volleyball match in Rothsay.

“Tonight we honored our seniors Emma Buckingham, Kenadi Carlsrud, Katie Reber, Madison Tillman and Adriana Willits,” commented Rothsay Head Coach John Reber.  “All five saw floor time together tonight, and I'm glad that we were able to compete strongly with our different lineups against an athletic Panthers squad. These five seniors have been in the vanguard working toward significant improvement in not only our team culture, but our school culture as well. To say they will be missed after this season is an enormous understatement.”

The Tigers were led by Kenadi Carlsrud (8/8 serving, 14 kills, 20 digs, 3 blocks), Gracyn Petersen (11/12 serving with 2 aces, 14 digs), Lisa Kjelgaard (6/6 serving with 3 aces) and Elli Meyer (20 set assists, 11 digs).

“Regarding our team performance, we still have some things we need to tune up before playoffs start in two weeks,” noted Coach Reber. “We have established a solid foundation of hard work and teamwork, so now it comes down to fine-tuning platforms, blocking hands, swings and setting hands as much as we can.”

Rothsay will travel to Wheaton on Thursday for a LEC match with the Warriors.
