Warriors Serve 94.6% in Sweep of Owls

Wheaton/Herman-Norcross defeated Hancock 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-19) in a Little Eight Conference volleyball match on Tuesday night.  The Warriors recorded 11 team aces and served 94.6% for the match.  Brylie Schultz and Ashlyn McCalip led the way with 3 aces each, while Reagan Spilde and Jordyn Perry added two aces apiece.

Serving leaders for Wheaton/Herman-Norcross were Emily Drewicke (12/12), Spilde (12/12), Perry (11/11), Schultz (12/13, Megyn Kelly (10/11) and McCalip (9/11).

Defensively, Anna Bright led the team with 11 digs, while McCalip and Schultz each had 9.  Schultz led the attack with 10 kills and Zaundra Determan added 7. Perry distributed 13 set assists and McCalip had 10.

Hancock was led by Misti Zempel with 15 digs and 3 ace serves, Cassandra Villela, Rylie Mattson and Eva Schaefer each had 7 digs for the Owls.

The Warriors will host Rothsay on Thursday in their final home match, while Hancock entertains Brandon-Evansville.
