“This was a successful meet for our boys’ team,” commented Head Coach Derek Meyer.  “Our varsity guys came out on top of a team score tie.  To break a tie, it comes down to the finish place of the sixth runner and Michael Schmidt managed to place one spot ahead of the next Redwood Valley runner, giving us the team win.  It was one of those meets where you find out how important every teammate is on your team.  Henry had an awesome race. He came out determined to put down a fast time and did just that.  This was a challenging course and it was a new meet for us.  We are thankful that Minnewaska Area was able to accommodate us in a pinch.  We look forward to our next meet on October 18th as we host the Central Lakes Conference Championship at Pebble Lake Golf Course.”
