“This was the Vikings first Monday game of the season and it took us a long time to get in any kind of rhythm tonight,” said Head Coach Heidi Isaman.  “The Vikings battled in a back and forth 5 set match with the Raiders but had a hard time getting our offense in system and being in sync with each other.  The Raiders responded well and took control of the game several times.  We did bounce back in set 4 and really played the aggressive volleyball we have been used to playing but too many mistakes really hurt us tonight and cost us the 5th set battle.” 

Pelican Rapids was led by Ellie Welch (10 kills, 5 aces, 17 set assists, 4 digs), Anna Roisum (9 kills, 19 set assists, 8 digs), Kelsey Isaman (7 kills, 17 digs), Morgan Korf (45 digs, 1 ace), Allie Thompson (13 digs) and Marie Backstrom (5 digs).

The Vikings will travel to Barnesville for a conference match up on Thursday.
