Ottertail Central traveled to Staples and defeated the Cardinals 49-6 on a chilly Friday evening, improving their season record to 5-1.

The Bulldogs got on the board early when Owen Buehler grabbed a 20 yard pass from Jack Mekalson.  OTC also scored in the first quarter on an 18 yard run from Bricker Bladow and a 55 yard pass to Mason Dalluge.

The second quarter started with a Staples-Motley touchdown, but OTC answered when Bricker Bladow scored on two long runs.  One TD was 53 yards and the other was 54 yards.  The first half ended with OTC leading 36-6.

In the second half Mason Dalluge took the kickoff back for a 78 yard touchdown, and Bricker Bladow had his 4th touchdown rushing the ball across the goal line from 10 yards out.  The fourth quarter was a field position battle for the back-ups from each team who got some valuable playing time.

Otter Tail Central rushed for 216 yards and passed for 150.  Owen Buehler was 4 for 4 kicking extra points.

The Bulldogs (5-1) will host Frazee in Henning on Friday night for Homecoming.
