Perham Shutout by Osakis on Homecoming Night

Perham hosted Osakis on homecoming night for the Yellowjackets Friday.  It was a pleasant fall night for football, however, the result of the game wasn’t what Perham was hoping for as the Silverstreaks put 42 points on the board while holding the Yellowjackets scoreless on the night.

Osakis ran for 292 yards and had 378 yards of total offense.  Perham was held to just 68 rushing yards and 87 total yards, garnering just 3 first downs.

Grant Mages scored the first touchdown of the game on a 24 yard pass from Kyle Mages with 4:26 to go in the second quarter.  Duncan Tronicke booted his first of six extra points to give the Silverstreaks a 7-0 lead at halftime.

In the third quarter Drew Imdieke scored on a 3 yard run and Kyle Mages took the ball into the end zone from 37 yards out.  Osakis had a 21-0 lead after three quarters.

Tyson Hagedon busted loose for a 28 yard TD run with 11:10 left in the game and Gaven Cimbura added a pair of fourth quarter TD’s of 2 and 10 yards.

Rushing leaders for Osakis were Imdieke (18 carries, 89 yards), Hagedon (11 carries, 80 yards and Kyle Mages (10 carries, 70 yards).  Kyle Mages completed 6-of-10 passes for 86 yards and Grant Mages hauled in 4 passes for 52 yards.  Austin Dickenson picked off a pass and Wyatt Sell recovered a fumble for the Silverstreaks.

Hudson Hackel ran for 30 yards on 6 carries to lead Perham.  Blaiz Schmidt completed 4-of-12 passes for 19 yards and Noah Thompson caught a pair of passes for 8 yards.  Defensively, Gage Aanenson had an interception.  Carson Beyer (4 solo tackles, 10 assisted tackles) and Hackel (8 solo tackles, 4 assisted tackles) were the top tacklers for the Yellowjackets.
