Fergus Falls was a 3-1 (25-18, 28-26, 20-25, 25-17) winner in their Central Lakes Conference home volleyball match with St. Cloud Apollo on Tuesday night.  “Our girls had some big moments and they kept on fighting,” commented Head Coach Sabrina Noon of the Otters.  “Our team definitely kept the crowd on their toes, but in game 4, we took control and finally closed out the match.”

The Otters were led by Avery Knutson (18 digs), Jenna Carlson (16 digs, 12 kills, 1 solo block, 1 ace), Karyssa Eberle (16 set assists, 10 digs, 1 ace, 8 kills), Bella Anderson (9 kills, 4 aces), Ariana Noplos (6 kills, 2 solo blocks, 1 assisted block, 2 aces), Solvie Smestad (2 aces), Brynn Sternberg (4 digs, 1 assisted block), Emma Stans (4 digs) and Randi Walls (6 set assists).

“Our passing was good tonight and our hitters were ready,” added Coach Noon.  “Once we start getting more consistent on our serves, we will start having better control of our games.”

Fergus Falls (4-11) ended a six match losing streak with the win.  They will play at St. Cloud Tech on Thursday night.
