The Barnesville School Foundation Hall of Honor Banquet will be held on Friday, September 30 with four individuals and one team being honored at the induction ceremony.

The 1978 Barnesville Trojan football team was State Runner-up in Class B, as well at the Heart O’ Lakes Conference champion.  The Trojans outscored their opponents in the regular season 287 to 36.  With a balanced offensive attack and a stifling defense, the Trojans rolled through the regular season before entering the Minnesota State Class B tournament.  In the first round the Trojans would knock out Sartell 14-13, and then take down Atwater 36-6, advancing them to the State Championship where they fell to New Richland-Hartland 48-8.  The Trojans were led by head coach Larry Anderson, and assistant coaches Steve Dibbs and Gary Vorachek. The team ended their season with a record of 11-1.

Individual inductees include Karen (Hanson) Solum, Erica (Nord) Halverson, Kim and Michelle (Cole) Peterson, and Judy Siggerud.
