Fergus Falls had a home girls’ soccer game against Central Lakes Conference rival Willmar on Thursday night.  The two teams were locked in a 1-1 tie at the end of regulation.  The Otters were able to score an overtime goal to record a 2-1 victory over the Cardinals.

Tyra Skjeret scored off a corner kick in the first half and Willmar scored their goal with 8 minutes left in the game.  Madi Budke scored the game winner from Skjeret in OT.

Julia Aguilar was solid tonight,” said Fergus Falls Head Coach Ben Jurgens.  “She helped solidify the middle of the field.  Vanessa Vaughn was solid on the defensive end again and Rylynn Krein had a nice night in goal.”

The Otters (7-4) will play an afternoon contest in Detroit Lakes on Saturday.
