M State remained unbeaten in MCAC Southern Division play with a 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-11) victory over St. Cloud Technical and Community College on Wednesday night in Fergus Falls.

“The team played exceptionally well tonight,” said head volleyball coach Abby Crowser. “We started out strong right away and our goal after the first set was to stay consistent throughout the whole match. We executed our game plan perfectly and played the best we have all season. The girls are getting comfortable in their roles on the court and it’s showing. We are looking forward to seeing what they will accomplish together this year.”

Emily Dehler led the attack with 12 kills.  Kaleigh Sip had 9 kills, Lindsey Kurz added 8 and Faith Mariion had 7.  Kurz led the blocking game with a pair of solo blocks.  Sip and Dehler each added a solo block.  All-American setter Kaia Strom distributed 32 set assists and was a perfect 10-for-10 on the serving line.

Avery Wanner led the team with 17 digs and went 22-for-24 on the serving line with a team high 4 aces.  Marion was 12-for-14 with 2 aces and added 11 digs.  Dehler (8/8) and Kendra Emery (7/7) were perfect with their serving.  Emery also had 8 digs.
