Rothsay traveled to Ashby for a Little Eight Conference volleyball match on Tuesday night.  The Tigers dispatched the Arrows in 3 sets, 25-23, 25-17, 25-21.

“We went to Ashby knowing we were going to have to be on point with our serve receive to run the offense because of Ryleigh Brendmoen's lethal jump serve,” commented Rothsay Head Coach John Reber. “Gracyn Petersen, Lisa Kjelgaard and our other passers really showed grit back there. Our other goal was to play tight defense and not give the Arrows many free balls to work with.  I liked what we did with our ball 3 for most of the night. Very proud of our serving and all the girls' ability to move on to the next play even when we had a few 3 point rallies that didn't go in our favor.”

Leaders for the Tigers were Kjelgaard (10/10 serving, 1 ace), Katie Reber (13/13 serving, 2 aces), Kenadi Carlsrud (11 kills, 22 digs), Madison Tillman (5 kills), Elli Meyer (20 set assists) and Bethany Danielson (4 kills).

Rothsay will host Underwood on Thursday night and Ashby travels to Fergus Falls to face Hillcrest in a pair of Little Eight Conference matches.
