Rockets Win Home LEC Match from Wheaton/Herman-Norcross

Underwood defeated Wheaton/Herman-Norcross 3-0 (25-11, 25-20, 25-12) in a Little Eight Conference home contest for the Rockets on Tuesday night.  “We played a balanced game tonight, improving from previous matches on our serving, passing and hitting efficiency,” said Head Coach Breck Grove.  “I thought we did a good job of executing a balanced attack and maintaining our level of play even though Wheaton had some big hits and put up a big block.”

The Rockets were led by Becca Johnson (15 digs, 17/17 serving, 2 aces), Kallyn Grove (10 digs, 32 set assists, 10/11 serving, 1 ace, 5 kills), Mily Albjerg (14/14 serving, 4 aces), Elizabeth Lukken (10/10 serving, 14 kills, 10 digs), Brooke Christianson (9 kills, 8/9 serving, 1 ace, 6 digs) and Jorja Gabrielson (6 kills, 9/10 serving, 1 ace).

The lady Warriors were led by Emily Drewicke (10/10 serving, 1 ace, 9 digs), Jordyn Perry (8/8 serving, 9 set assists), Brylie Schultz (7/7 serving, 7 kills, 6 digs, 4 set assists), Reagan Spilde (8/8 serving, 1 ace), Megyn Kelly (5/5 serving, 4 kills), Grace Dawson (6/7 serving, 1 ace, 5 digs) and Anna Bright (11 digs).

Underwood (5-3) will travel to Rothsay on Thursday for another LEC match.

Wheaton/Herman-Norcross (2-6) will host Parkers Prairie on Thursday night.
