Battle Lake came out ready to play and took a 12- 7 lead in the first set. The Battlers played consistently well throughout set one and had set point but could not finish the set. Parkers went on a 5 point serving run to take set 1. The Battlers rebounded for set 2 keeping within a few points. This time The Battlers were able to finish the set. The Panthers were strong overall. In both sets 3 and 4 Parkers went on a few serving runs that the Battlers could not come back from.
Morgan Malone had a solid night for the Battlers with 9 kills and 16/16 serving. Kinley Bormann also had 9 kills while Kenady Cameron had 7 blocks. Quinn Amundson had 11 digs and Sophie Akerman dished out 26 assists.
No stats were reported by Parkers Prairie. The Panthers (3-1) will travel to Wheaton on Thursday night.
The Battlers head to Hancock on Thursday.
