The Breckenridge Cowboys posted a 27-8 win over Parkers Prairie on Friday night to even their season record at 1-1. The Cowboys had 320 rushing yards and 355 yards of total offense, while holding the Panthers to a total of 129 yards with 84 by the pass and 45 on the ground.
Alex Sanchez carried the football 11 times for 125 yards and scored a pair of rushing touchdowns to lead the Cowboys. He also caught two passes for 20 yards. Bailey Evans completed 3-of-7 passes for 35 yards and Gavin Pederson had one catch for 15 yards.
Defensive leaders were Alex Tschakert with 10 tackles, including a sack, Gavin Pederson with 9 tackles, Landon Blaufuss with 9 tackles and a sack, Jacob Kunkel with an interception, Alex Sanchez with a fumble recovery for a TD, and Brian Martinez with a sack.
After opening the season with a pair of road games, the Cowboys come home for the first of three straight on their home field when they host the Frazee Hornets on Friday night at 7:00pm.
