The Underwood Rockets played in the 6th Annual Ruth Hayden Tournament of Roses in Ada on Saturday, collecting 2 wins and 2 losses on the day.  They began in pool play, losing two close matches to Badger/Greenbush/Middle River (2-0), before beating Fosston 2-1 and Bagley 2-0.  They advanced to a bracket with four other teams who finished 2nd in their pools and lost 2-0 to Roseau.

“Overall, it was a good day,” stated Underwood Head Coach Breck Grove.  “We definitely grew as a team and it was great to see the girls grow in different areas of volleyball that we have been working on in practice.  We passed a little better today and hit the ball more consistently.  We competed against some good competition and were able to see areas we can continue to improve.”
