Goalkeeper Ry Krein kept Rocori off the scoreboard on Thursday night and the Otter girls’ soccer team produced 7 goals in a 7-0 shutout victory over the Spartans.  Tyra Skjeret scored a goal and assisted on 4 others, continuing her impressive offensive start to the season.  Yana Prischmann added a pair of goals for the Otters.

“Defensively, we were strong tonight,” said Fergus Falls Head Coach Ben Jurgens.  “Ry made all her saves in the net, Vanessa Vaughn led the defense, along with Megan Tosset and Ava Eklund.  We controlled the middle of the field pretty well and were able to get some through balls to our goal scorers.  The girls played hard and unselfish.  It was fun to watch!”

Ella Starzl got the scoring started off a feed from Skjeret.  Skjeret followed with an unassisted tally, assisted on Prischmann’s first goal and then assisted on Starzl’s second goal of the game.  After Prischmann scored on a Penalty Kick, Skjeret assisted on a goal by Madi Budke.  The final goal was scored by Olivia Jurgens and assisted by Vanessa Vaughn.

The Otter JV team won 5-0 with Jurgens scoring 3 times.  Mia Olson and Cierra Ochoa each had a goal to complete the scoring.
