The Fergus Falls Otters played host to the Alexandria Cardinals in both a section 8AA and Central Lakes Conference girls’ tennis matchup on Thursday.  The Cardinals came out on top 5-2.

We had some great all-around matches tonight.  The conditions were extremely hot on the courts and played a factor for our girls out there.  Our wins tonight came from Ruby Ellison at third singles and our second doubles duo of Karley Braeger and Cyntreya Lockett.  Ruby has been showing us consistency on the singles side of things and earning some big wins for us.  Karley and Cindy just play so well together and dominated their match tonight, only dropping two games.  Our other doubles matches were very close with Ashtyn Lill and Hattie Fullhart falling in a marathon 7-6(5), 7-5 matchup at first doubles while Kezi Hartwell and Hannah Anderson went the distance before dropping their match in the third set.  We had a few matches that really could have gone either way for us.  We're happy that we get to see them again in late September.

Friday the Otters host Detroit Lakes and Thief River Falls in a home triangular.  FF vs DL at 9:00 and FF vs TRF at noon.
