The Henning Hornets defeated Underwood in a non-conference volleyball contest Tuesday night, winning three out of four sets from the Rockets. Henning won 25-14 and 25-18 in the first two sets, lost the third set 29-27 and closed out the match with a 26-24 win the fourth set.
“It turned out to be quite a dogfight down the stretch, but we began the evening playing very nervous, tentative volleyball,” stated Underwood Head Coach Breck Grove. “As the match went on, we got some rhythm and competed much better in sets three and four.”
Statistical leaders for the Rockets were Liz Lukken (11 kills, 17 digs, 14/17 serving, 1 ace), Kallyn Grove (26 set assists, 25 digs, 8 kills, 20/21 serving), Becca Johnson (23 digs) and Mily Albjerg (18 digs).
