The Parkers Prairie girls’ tennis team had a second place finish in the Park Region Conference with a 3-1 conference mark in 2021. They accomplished that with no seniors on the roster, so optimism is high for the 2022 season with everyone returning. Seniors Alli Toyli and Ashley Vogt will serve as team captains for Coaches Deanne Novotny and Dave O’Brien.
Other returners include juniors Audrey Ruckheim, Dakota Moske, Elektra Blumer, Elizabeth Harstad and Harleigh Drummer, and freshmen Anna Helling, Brooke Schilling and Sophie Pfeffer.
“This is a very coachable group with a lot of varsity experience,” said Coach Novotny. “We are working on improving positioning, serves, footwork and various strategies.”
Novotny says Osakis is the top team in the PRC and in Section 8A.
