The Battle Lake volleyball team lost six seniors to graduation, including 3-time All-Conference MVP Grace VanErp and All-Conference player Ady Tysdal. Kayler Brandner, Kaitlyn Brandner, Ellie Gibbs and Madison Ness are also gone. That being said, the Battlers do return five letter winners to form the nucleus of their 2022 squad.
Seniors Morgan Malone, Quinn Amundson and Anna Bellig, and freshmen Sophie Akerman and Kenady Cameron return with varsity experience.
“We will be young, but excited to see what we can do against the top teams in the conference and section,” commented Head Coach Jennifer Roisum, now in her 19th season. “Underwood and Henning will be tough as always in Section 6A, with the Rockets being the top team in the Little Eight Conference.”
Roisum will be assisted by Heather Akerman, Rick Schaller and Abby Moxness.
