The 2021 volleyball season was one for the books for the Wheaton/Herman-Norcross Warriors.  The Warriors were Pheasant Conference champions, finishing with an overall record of 19 wins and 10 losses.  Ann Dreke was named the Coach of the Year and Ellissa Rinke ended her career by earning over 1000 digs.  Rinke, Kyah Thomas, Avah Sykora, Emily Berger and Lesley Rinke were all lost to graduation, making for some great competition for varsity spots in 2022.

“I am so excited about this season,” exclaimed Coach Dreke.  “We will be working together and becoming a cohesive team.  We lost a few key players last year, so this year I am looking forward to seeing who will step up to make a name for themselves and our team.  Each season is different and I can’t wait to take on the 2022 year!’

Returning letter winners include seniors Brylie Schultz (Middle Hitter), Zaundra Determan (Right Side), Anna Bright (Defensive Specialist) and Megyn Kelly (Outside Hitter/Right Side).

Key newcomers on the 2022 varsity team will be juniors Bria Lundquist (Right Side/Middle Hitter) and Jordyn Perry (Setter), and sophomores Reagan Spilde (Outside/Middle Hitter) and Addison Blume (Outside/Middle Hitter).

Jaylene Schmidt (JV/B), Molly Reinart (C Squad), Mallory Mosloski (8th Grade) and Myranda Schanil (7th Grade) will round out the coaching staff.
