Lady Spartans Open Season Ranked #2
The M State Fergus Falls Lady Spartan volleyball team opens the 2022 campaign with their highest national ranking ever, finding the #2 spot in the National Junior College Athletic Association DIII preseason ranking. The Lady Spartans are coming off and outstanding 2021 season, finishing the season with a 21-6 record and winning the Region XIII championship. They advanced to nationals and took 3rd place at the NJCAA National Tournament.
Head Coach Abby Crowser and her assistants Morgan Aasness and Krista Price have a talented group of players again this year, led by All American players Baily Marty and Kaia Strom. Marty was also voted the Minnesota College Athletic Conference Southern Division Player of the Year.
The home opener for the Lady Spartans is Wednesday, August 31 against Minnesota West. This is a 6:30 start time.
