American Legion Post 30 returned from the Independence Day Holiday break with a double header against Detroit Lakes on Thursday.  DL posted a pair of wins, blanking Post 30, 10-0 in the first game, and winning the nightcap, 18-5.

“Give DL credit,” said Head Coach Trevor Larson of Post 30.  “They hit the ball all around the park and played good defense.”

Isaac Johnson and Evan Lindgren did the pitching for Post 30 in the first game.  Johnson (1-2, BB) and Riston Albert (1-3, 2B) led the offensive effort.

In game two the leading hitters were Carter Thielke (2-3) and Leighton Buckmeier (1-3).
