The Roseau Rams broke a 3-3 tie with a five run bottom of the fifth inning on Tuesday to hand the Perham Yellowjackets their first post season loss, 8-3, in Park Rapids. Perham will now face DGF in an elimination game on Thursday at noon back in Park Rapids. The winner of that game will square off with the Rams in the Section 8AA championship series.
Cooper Flaig had a big day for the Rams, going 2-for-3 with a home run, 3 runs batted in and 2 runs scored. Alex Wensloff (2-3, 2B, R) and Aaron Wensloff (2-3, R) also had good days at the plate for Roseau. Winning pitcher Isaac Wensloff (7IP, 7H, 3R, 2ER, 9K, 0BB) went the distance to earn the victory. He held Perham without an extra base hit in the game.
Leaders for the Yellowjackets were Austin Aanenson (2-4, RBI, R), Ben Shumansky (1-4, 2RBI), Gamble Bye (2-3, R) and Evan Kovash (1-3, R).
