Breckenridge Bucks Complete Double Header Sweep of Pelican Rapids

The Breckenridge Bucks amateur baseball team swept a double header from Pelican Rapids on Saturday, winning 9-5 and 13-2.  Hunter Wamre (6IP, 5R, 6H, 9K) was the winning pitcher in game one and Wes Johnson earned the save.  Johnson (5IP, 2R, 4H, 9K, 0BB) got the victory in game two.

Breckenridge scored five runs in the fifth inning to break open a close game.  Hitting leaders for the Bucks were Jeremy Stack (2-5, 3R), Jack Hiedeman (2-3, RBI, R, SB) and Brayden Wahl (1-4, 3RBI, R).

Pelican Rapids was led by Jacob Gothenburg (3-3, RBI, R, BB).

Pellican Rapids pitcher issued 14 walks in the game two loss with Cooper Yaggie walking three times and Aaron Neppl twice.  Top hitters for the Bucks in game two were Stack (1-3, 2B, 2RBI), Wamre (1-2, 2R) and Chris Nieto (1-2, 2B, 3RBI, 2R).  Tommy Hiedeman added a base hit and a stolen base, along with a walk.
