Ashby/Brandon-Evansville took fourth place at the Wahpeton Last Chance Girls Track and Field Meet on Monday, with 84 points.  Wahpeton (143.17), Fergus Falls (100) and Wyndmere-Lidgerwood (96.5) finished 1-2-3.  The A/B-E boys’ team placed sixth with 57.5 points. Wahpeton won the event with 171 points, followed by Fargo North (111), Fergus Falls (80) and Rothsay (69).

“We had 29 different PR's set today and also broke the school record in the Girls 4x200 meter relay (Skylar Bitzan, Catherine Koefod, EmmaLee Brethorst, Lucea Wales),” stated Ashby/Brandon-Evansville Head Coach Zachary Traphagen. “The focus now will be to get 100% healthy before the Pheasant Conference meet on Thursday. We are really beginning to see the big improvements that you come to expect at this point in the season. The great thing is that these PR's are not just happening in only a few events or for only a few particular athletes. We're getting massive improvements in the throws, the jumps, sprints and distance events. Hopefully we continue to maintain our focus on continuing to improve and not allow ourselves to be satisfied.”
