Perham Beats Barnesville Twice

The Perham baseball team won twice against Barnesville on Thursday, beating the Trojans 15-4 and 11-1.  Four hits from Jack Mensing helped the Yellowjackets in their 15-4 victory.  Perham tallied six runs in the fifth inning to take control of the game.

Gage Germolus (4IP, 3H, 0R, 9K, 0BB) earned the victory on the hill.   Ben Shumansky and Rian Solberg both went yard for Perham.  The Yellowjackets collected 13 hits and didn’t commit an error in the field.

Barnesville pitcher Peyton Pauna (4IP, 7H, 7R, 2K) took the loss.  The Trojans were led at the plate by Travis Affield and Noah Krause with two hits each.

Blaiz Schmidt (4IP, 4H, 3K, 0BB, 1R) earned the victory for Perham in the second game.  Germolus homered in the game and Austin Aanenson led the team with 2 hits in 3 at bats.  Carson Hagen (2.2IP, 6H, 6R, 3K) was the starting pitcher for the Trojans and he led them at the plate with two hits in 3 at bats.
