The Territory Golf Club was the site of the most recent Central Lakes Conference boys’ golf meet on Monday with the Alexandria Cardinals winning the event with a stroke count of 294. Sartell was second with 309, followed by Brainerd 315, Willmar 326, Fergus Falls 327, Sauk Rapids-Rice 357, St. Cloud 364 and Rocori 395.
Alexandria junior Braeden Sladek was the tournament medalist with a round of 69, two strokes better than runner-up Lance Hamak of Sartell. Joseph Wisocki of Willmar was third with a 73. Alexandria had the next three finishers with Carver Larson placing fourth with a 74, Jack Holtz in fifth with a 75 and Bennett Olsen taking sixth by winning a scorecard playoff with a round of 76. Ashton Sladek was eighth with a 77.
Fergus Falls was led by sophomore Ryan Nelson with a 79 and sophomore Riley McGovern with an 81. Junior captain Charlie Fuder shot an 82, freshman Adam Kennedy had an 85, sophomore Gavin Goepferd turned in a round of 86 and sophomore Sam Dirkman came in with a 90.
