Parkers Prairie recorded an 11-1 six-inning walk-off victory over Long Prairie-Grey Eagle on Thursday as Carter Thoennes ripped a 2-out, 2-run double to score a pair of runs for the mercy rule win.

Blake Adickes was on the mound and went six strong innings for the complete game and his first varsity win,” stated Head Coach Derek Denny.  “Our defense gobbled up everything in sight, committing no errors.  The defensive play of the game was in the third inning when Jake Wagner laid out full extension in right field to rob what looked to be a hit, but instead it completed a 1-2-3 defensive inning for us.”

Cole Gessel led all hitters as he went 3-for-4 with four runs batted in.

The JV team posted a 2-1 win on a walk-off game winning single by Joe Johnson, while the junior high team split two games with the win being a 5-0 shutout behind lefty ace Trevor Rounds.
