“Chase was solid as he worked fast and attacked the zone,” said Parkers Prairie Head Coach Derek Denny. “Nolan Steidl was on in relief and slammed the door, setting down two Bulldogs by way of a strikeout. He also had the defensive play of the day when he fielded a ground ball at third base, ranging to his left, then Zach Mrnak finished the play with the stretch and dig at first base.”
Jack Mekalson led OTC with two hits in three at bats, and two runs batted in
Coach Ryan Hendrickson of OTC said, “It was great to see Jack step up in a big spot and get a clutch hit. Jack is a sophomore that hasn’t played much baseball, but he decided to give it a shot and his athleticism is really starting to show.”
