Owls Fall to LqPV 8-3

The Hancock baseball team jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning Thursday, however, Lac qui Parle Valley scored four times in the third inning to take a lead they never relinquished on the way to an 8-3 victory.  LqPV took advantage of four errors by the Owls, scoring four unearned runs in the contest.

Dain Schroeder went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Hancock.  Hunter Ver Steeg drove in two runs with a double and Zachary Carter delivered an RBI single.

Davin Rose (3IP, 6H, 4R, 3ER, 0BB, 1K) took the loss on the mound.  Ver Steeg (3IP, 1H, 4R, 1ER, 4BB, 5K) finished the last three innings.
