“Give credit to Wadena, they are a very good baseball team,” said OTC Head Coach Ryan Hendrickson. “Their lineup is full of tough outs and when they are on the bases they are very dangerous. A huge difference in the game is that we struck out 13 times and had 4 errors, compared to Wadena striking out once, taking 9 free passes and playing errorless ball in the field.”
Owen Buehler (3IP, 4H, 5R, 1K) took the loss for the Bulldogs. Jayden Harig and Owen Harig each had a hit for OTC.
Wadena-Deer Creek collected 9 hits with Payton Rondestvedt, Brandon Wheeler and Isaac Hamann all managing multiple hits.
“We finished this week going 1-2, could have easily been 2-1, but we just have to be a little bit cleaner with our play,” said Coach Hendrickson. “Next week we have four home games, Tuesday against Bertha, Wednesday against Parkers Prairie and a Thursday double header against New York Mills.”
