Charlie Fuder has been named Captain of the 2022 Otter Boys Golf Team. The boys started their season on March 22nd and will play a full Central Lakes Conference schedule along with various invitational meets throughout the spring season.

Fuder, a junior, has been playing varsity golf for the Otters since he was an 8th grader.

“Charlie isn’t just the captain because he’s a good golfer, he’s our captain this year because of the way he treats his teammates, and the leader he has developed into,” said Otter head coach Matt McGovern.  “He is our most experienced golfer and is great at bringing these young guys together to compete and improve,” McGovern added.

The Otter golfers started off the season indoors in the state of the art golf facility inside the Roosevelt building.  “We aren’t sure when we will actually be able to play outside this year so having the indoor facility is really amazing for us,” McGovern said.  The Otters have had a few meets postponed already and are preparing for a very busy condensed schedule once the weather starts to cooperate.

The Otter Boys Golf team is coached by Matt McGovern and assistant coach Travis Johnson.
