The Parkers Prairie Boys Track and Field team finished as sub-section runners-up last spring and with several returning athletes they are optimistic about the prospects for the 2022 season.  Head Coach Mike Johnson, now in his seventh season, feels that every team should be competitive this year in the Park Region Conference and Section 6A.

“We are fortunate to have several returning individuals who made it to Sections’ last year, including Ryder Ashbaugh and James Suchy,” reported Coach Johnson.  “Jesse LaManna, Ross Kortenbusch, Caden DeBoer, Ty Lenzen, Tyler Carstensen, Brayden Reiman, Nathan Mohman, and Evan Washburn all contributed greatly to our varsity team last year.  We also have some newcomers who we are excited to add to the mix this year.”

Johnson is looking to Riley Kortenbusch, Ben Harrington, Brady Blackstone, RJ Reigstad, Mason Arens, Spencer Mobley, Justin Koehn, Brody Lenzen, Dominic Reiman, and Chavous Wendt to step into varsity roles.

“The strength of our boys’ team is we are well-rounded, meaning we have a handful of athletes who can compete in our field events, sprinting events, and mid/long distance events,” added Johnson.

Johnson will be assisted by Caleb Horn, Shannon Wicklund, Gabe Wicklund, Mason Schroeder, Paige Entzi, Joan Haggenmiller and Heather Trosdahl.
