The two-time defending Section 8AA champion Pelican Rapids Vikings were knocked out of the 2022 Tournament on Saturday when second-seeded Menahga beat the lady Vikings by the final score of 59-47. Menahga led 27-25 at the half and won the second half by ten points to record the 12 point win.
Morgan Korf (24 points, 6 rebounds) and Ellie Welch (10 points, 7 rebounds) led the lady Vikings, with Kelsey Isaman pulling down a team high 9 rebounds.
Mary Pinoniemi led Menahga with 30 points and Janie Tormanen added 14.
Pelican Rapids ends their season with a record of 14 wins and 11 losses.
Menahga (24-3) will face Perham at 7:45pm Wednesday in Detroit Lakes.
