Thompson Buzzer Beater Lifts Owls Past BBE

A buzzer beater by Matt Thompson lifted the Hancock boys’ basketball team to a 57-55 victory over Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa on Friday night.  Thompson had a game high 26 points and completed his double-double by securing 13 rebounds.

Hudson VerSteeg and Zachary Koehl each had 10 points for the Owls.  Jackson Koehl led the team with 3 assists and Luke Joos had 3 steals.

The Owls hit 48% (20-41) of their field goal attempts, while BBE shot 43% (21-49) from the floor.

Kaden Dieber led three Jaguars in double digits with 19 points.  Luke Dingmann added 11 and Gavin Kampseh chipped in with 10.
