Section 6A Individual Wrestling Results

West Central Area/Ashby/Brandon-Evansville crowned three champions and had five runners-up at the Section 6A Wrestling Tournament in Wadena on Saturday.  The top two wrestlers in each weight class qualify for the State Class A Meet at the XCEL Energy Center in St. Paul beginning on Thursday.

Champions for the Knights were Hunter Gruchow (132), So9lomon Wales (138) and Anthony Sykora (170).  Second place finishers were Reubens Swanson (145), Austin Danner (160), Beau Robinison (182), Will Rustan (195) and Colton Lindquist (220).

Ottertail Central crowned three champs, Jaxon Rich (160), Tristan Evavold (195) and Kale Rich (285), and had one second place finisher, Logan Schleske (152).

New York Mills also had 3 champions, Simon Snyder (145), Dane Niemi (152) and Bren Salo (182), and one runner-up, Sawyer Wedde (285).

Border West will be represented at state by champions Cole Sykora (113) and Eli Larson (126), and runner-up Patrick Forcier (138)

Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale/Parkers Prairie had one champion, Gideon Ervasti (220).  Runners-up included Justin Olson (106), Bennet Arceneau (120), David Revering (126) and Deagen Captain (132).

Wadena-Deer Creek is sending two wrestlers, both of whom were second place finishers, Mason Brauch (113) and Koby Endres (170).
