Matt Thompson snagged his 1000 career rebound on Friday night as he came up with 18 boards in the Hancock Owls 58-45 win over Wheaton/Herman-Norcross. Thompson also scored 15 points, recording another double-double. The Owls were led by 16 points from Hudson Versteeg, who also had 8 rebounds. Jackson Koehl finished with 15 points.
Hancock won the rebounding battle 39-21. Zachary Koehl and Luke Joos each distributed 5 assists and Joos led the team with 3 steals.
Wheaton/Herman-Norcross was led by 17 points from Dylan Bainbridge and 11 from Clint Determan.
Hancock (19-4) will take an 11 game winning streak into their Monday night home game against West Central Area.
