“The girls came out and jumped on Ortonville right away, taking a 10-2 lead early,” said Assistant Coach Corey Spilde. “Even though we shot the ball poorly for the night, I thought our offense had some bright spots for us moving forward. It was great to see Ellissa Rinke have a great floor game, with 22 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. We also had good offensive games from Sadie Vipond (9 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals) and Megyn Kelly (10 points, 6 steals). It was a good way to end the week. We will have to get back to work, as we have three road games next week to finish out the season.”
Brylie Schultz had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, continuing her excellent play for the Warriors. Julia Schmidt contributed 8 points, 3 assists, 3 rebounds and 6 steals.
Kelly Erickson led the Trojans with 10 points, 13 rebounds and 3 steals.
