Ronnevik Competing at State Nordic Ski Meet
Fergus Falls sophomore David Ronnevik skied the Classic 5k on Wednesday at the State Nordic Ski Meet at Giants Ridge near Biwabik, finishing 32nd overall and is currently 1:34.2 behind the leader. Due to frigidly cold weather, the race schedule for Thursday has been revised. The boys pursuit skate race starts at 3:40, instead of 2:00pm.

“David has a goal to break into the top 25 and become an all-stater,” said Head Coach Josh Scharnberg. “Breaking into the top twenty takes experience and a ton of hard off-season work. David is very much a goal orientated, focused and forward-thinking young man and that’s what he is doing at this meet: gaining experience, moving up from where he was at a year ago, and setting his sights on future state meets.”
