Alexandria Boys Blank Fergus Falls 3-0

Alexandria put themselves in position to be the number one seed in the upcoming Section 6A boys’ hockey playoffs when they shutout Fergus Falls on Tuesday night, 3-0.  The Cardinals put 30 shots on goal compared to 19 for the Otters.  Teagan Pfeffer stopped every shot he faced in the contest.

Nicholas Peterson notched the first goal of the night at 9:29 of the opening period with an assist from Leo Kompelien.

In the second period Brycen Berg scored a pair of goals, the first one unassisted at the six minute mark and the second assisted by Josiah Gronholz and Tyler Kludt at 10:21.

Each team took only one penalty in the game.

Alexandria (17-5-1) will close out their regular season schedule on Thursday with a home game against Brainerd.

Fergus Falls (15-9) ends the regular season with a game against the St. Cloud Crush on Thursday at the MAC in St. Cloud.
