David started Day 2 of the Section 8 Meet at Maplelag in Detroit Lakes in 8th place in the pursuit race, but his hard work paid off as he gained 3 places and finished in fifth place overall, qualifying for the State Meet for a second straight year.

Ronnevik will compete at Giant's Ridge near Biwabik on Wednesday, February 16 and Thursday, February 17.  The 5k classic race is set for a 2:00pm start on Wednesday and the 5k freestyle pursuit will begin at 2:00pm Thursday.
